Key Achievements & Impact

Through interactive school sessions, behaviour change communication, teacher capacity building, and the distribution of oral care kits, the programme encouraged children to adopt healthy oral hygiene practices, including brushing twice daily with the correct technique, maintaining healthy dietary habits, and avoiding tobacco. Teachers played a vital role in reinforcing these messages, helping integrate oral health education into everyday school life. The programme demonstrated meaningful behavioural changes among students, with positive ripple effects extending to families and communities. Many children became ambassadors of healthy practices by encouraging their family members to improve oral hygiene, adopt healthier eating habits, and reduce tobacco use. The teacher-led implementation model also strengthened institutional capacity, ensuring sustainability and providing a scalable framework for future expansion.
