DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS AND LIVELIHOOD PROMOTION

In India, school drop-outs rate after 12th standard is very high. Large numbers of students fail to get admitted in higher educational institutions due to poor performance in their board exam. For the students from economically weaker section opting for career oriented professional courses is infeasible due to high fee structure. Not able to further their studies students gets into depression and few of them deviate away from mainstream society. rooted. Many obstacles to the realization of women’s human rights in India are social and cultural in nature, deeply rooted in the traditions of its communities Dealing with such important issues, SNI celebrates International Women’s Day every year by conducting workshops/seminars in the slum/rural areas on women centric issues to empower and make them aware of their rights and duties.

Organization is in the process to help them out through skill development and formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) for Skill development, will help in enhancement of income generation to live life in better way and make herself self reliant.

Evaluation

Evaluation assessment considers value, merit, worth, significance or quality (Scriven, 1991). It may aim to identify what works, for whom, in what respects.

Monitoring is conducted after a programme has begun and continues throughout the programme implementation period.

Livelihood and Community Development

Education

Educational initiatives for pre-schoolers, out-of-school children, remedial training and adult literacy is routinely integrated into the projects. Education, as we understand it here, is a process of inviting truth and possibility, of encouraging and giving time to discovery

Health

Promotion of good health is integrated in the projects through training, awareness activities, health camps and check-ups and linking beneficiaries to government schemes.

Women Empowerment

Projects under this segment engage in women empowerment through education and training, capacity building, awareness activities and facilitation of self help groups and access to government schemes.

Skill Development

Training programmes on skill development are implemented, to help improve the employability of the working population including school drop-outs, semi-skilled and un-skilled workers. These programmes include vocational training and digital literacy.

Agriculture

HPPI undertakes focused interventions in agriculture, horticulture and livestock management. Such interventions have been designed to improve efficiency in production systems, lower input costs, increase per capita output, and improve food and nutritional security at household level.
