Successful Implementation of the Colgate

Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) Program in Bihar in the FY 2025-26.

Social Network India (SNI), in collaboration with the Government of Bihar and Colgate-Palmolive India Limited, proudly announces the successful implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program named Colgate – Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) Program across the Gopalganj and Vaishali districts of Bihar in the FY 2025-26.

This comprehensive school-based initiative is designed to instil lifelong oral health and well-being practices among children by promoting five core behaviour-change missions:

  • Proper brushing techniques for effective oral hygiene
  • The importance of brushing twice daily
  • Timely replacement of toothbrushes every three months
  • Adopting nutritious dietary habits for overall health
  • Strong advocacy against tobacco use

School Recognition & Teacher Capacity Building

In addition to the educational sessions, each child was provided with a complimentary Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush to reinforce the adoption of healthy oral hygiene practices at home.

Participating schools were awarded a certificate of recognition in acknowledgement of their active involvement in the program. Furthermore, to ensure the continued integration of oral health education, school teachers were equipped with a comprehensive Teacher’s Guide Booklet, enabling them to sustain and reinforce oral health awareness among students beyond the project period.

Project Reach and Impact (as of 28 December 2025)

A total of 698 schools have been successfully covered under the project, comprising 361 schools in Vaishali District and 337 schools in Gopalganj District.

The initiative has sensitised and empowered 2, 61,609 children across both districts, including 1, 33,656 children in Vaishali and 1, 27,953 children in Gopalganj.

Creating Lasting Impact Through Early Awareness

The overwhelming enthusiasm, engagement, and positive behavioural response observed among students reaffirm our conviction that early-stage awareness is pivotal in nurturing sustainable, healthy habits. By integrating preventive oral health education within the school ecosystem, the BSBF Program is contributing meaningfully to improved child health outcomes and long-term well-being.

Together with our partners, we remain committed to shaping a healthier and happier future—one confident smile at a time.
